Yes, as you'll be able to tell immediately by the informative and non-punning headline, your favourite sort-of-hardcore band and mine, Modern Life Is War, are no more.
Annoyingly, MLIW have declared by their MySpace that they're doing one final tour, then putting a lid on it. This is bollocks. It's just like Warren Zevon, The Murder City Devils AND Slobberbone all over again. Just when I get into 'em, they die/split up.
The tour will take place somewhere probably American from March 29th to April 26th.
Modern Life Is War released about three and a half albums, and are the only band I know of (unbelieveably) to have written a song called 'Fuck the Sex Pistols', for which, if nothing else, they should be remembered fondly. In an affecting missive to fans, the band signed off with the following advice:
"The future is unwritten...so start writing it."
