Four Tet is famous for his unique mix of folksy hooks, multi-layered tumbling drums processed plucks and densely packed melodies.

Sunburned Hand of the Man has an amorphous line up, with composition and instrumentation potentially varying from gig to gig. Many regard Sunburned Hand of the Man as contributors to the New Weird America folk revival.

James Holden

Credited by Pete Tong as having defined a new sub-genre all of his own, his work incorporates the deep clubby elements loved by progressive house DJs with a dubby, abstract and melodic edge, attesting the leftfield influences of bands such as Labradford, Mogwai, and Fridge.

Fairmont is techno producer Jake Fairley, Fairmont is his softer, more melodic house project. Fairmont manages to combine forward thinking techno with the vitality of the best modern pop. from early releases on traum, echochord, kompakt and dumb, Fairmont's understated techno enjoyed a loyal following and critical acclaim amongst the cognoscenti.

Kode 9 is a longtime DJ and producer, behind Hyperdub, the label which released Burial's debut, is longtime. With sounds pared down to the ultra-minimal, Kode 9 is at the forefront of dubstep and bass poetry.

Friday 25th April –Junior Boys + Kelley Polar + Morgan Geist + Metronomy + Prinzhorn Dance School

The Junior Boys defy any easy equation of pop or dance, joining a long tradition of sonically rich pop that unites emotionally charged songcraft with experimental genres. They break new ground for electro-pop, blending heartfelt vocals with a production style that owes a debt to artists as varied as Timbaland, Todd Edwards, Fennesz and the Basic Channel school.

Kelley Polar delivers beautiful and personal songs from and for the heart and mind - a perfect amalgam of elegant pop songwriting, disco boogie beats and electronic glitches. Influences range from Brahms to the Beach Boys, Space Disco to early Stevie Wonder, with flutters of Gil Scott-Heron and Kraftwerk, Bedouin Soundclash and Ultravox.

Staple of leftfield dance music, Morgan Geist is the highly-regarded remixer and producer both solo and as half of Metro Area.  Geist has lent his touch to a wide range of artists including Hugh Masekela, Telex, Erlend Øye and was responsible for the amazingly popular remix of The Rapture's "House of Jealous Lovers."

Metronomy, is a sought after remixer, having remixed for Franz Ferdinand, Kate Nash and the Gorillaz. Metronomy live shows are recognised for their charming dance routines and light shows, most notably for the use of push lights stuck to their chests.

Prinzhorn Dance School, signed to DFA, this three-piece's boy-girl harmonies and stripped back instrumentation are in the vein of  The Kills and Ravonettes, producing starkly precise songs.

Saturday 26th April – Andrew Bird  + special guests TBA

Andrew Bird is renowned for delivering mesmerizing live sets of utterly riveting songs that work their magic on their own believable terms, without a hint of cloying nostalgia or riff-fueled seduction as he plays strings, glockenspiel, wurlitzer and tape loops.

Sunday 27th April – Kompakt Records 15th Anniversary Gui Boratto Live + Burger / Voight, Thomas Fehlman, Jonas Bering, Geo DJ + very special guests Mouse on Mars

Gui Boratto plays a live set of synth-heavy and colour-evocative dance music that are cinematic in scope and yet still driven by a mid-tempo rhythmic minimalism that makes them so powerful on the dance floor.

Burger / Voight live set mix uber cool housey flavoured groove, wicked noises ooze in and out with an old school nod and stompy and highly infectious beat.

Thomas Fehlmann hardly belies his age or pedigree, not only as the first person to put out a house record in britain (as ready made in 1986), but as a famed collaborator with blake baxter, juan atkins, maurizio, and erasure (to name just a few) and also The Orb over the past two decades. Live his set takes in elements of dub, detriot house, schaffel-techno and ambient-pop.

Jonas Bering’s live set’s consist of bass drivin techtrax and fluffy harmonic stuff. Kompakt invites you to a visit to beautiful small town Lille, next to the Belgian border. This is where Jonas Bering develops his unique warm-sounding tech grooves already impressively shown on his debut album Bienfait in summer 2000. With his new EP Emballages he takes a step further by adding some more catchy melodies and unconventional rhythmic structures to his lovely deep drowning textures.

Mouse on Mars  areJan St Werner and Andi Toma, best known for their work together as Mouse on Mars, debuting in 1994 with Vulvaland. On albums like Niun Niggung (their first for Domino), Idiology and Radical Connector they’ve gone on to perfect a signature sound which blends the lateral improvisational moves of jazz with the abstract complexities of electronica and the directness of acoustic instrumentation.  Mouse on Mars, are one of the few electronic bands to stand the test of time. constantly reinventing themselves, they have taken electronica to new heights with a unique blend of sound annihilation, fragmented melodies and an impassioned hatred of conformity.

Monday 28th April – RZA (Wu Tang Clan) + Killa Kella

RZA aka The Abbott, Prince Rakeem, Rzarector, Bobby Steels and Bobby Digital he was born as Robert Diggs and has gone on to mastermind several multi-platinum-selling records through his solo work and that as the chief producer of the Wu-Tang Clan.
