Inbetween hiring and firing, freeing Burma and saving Tibet, musical visionary, tormented soul and all-round good egg Sid from Antichrisis has announced via his website that a new recorded demo from the Chinese Democracy of the underground goth/folk/rock scene, 'The Legacy Remains' has been uploaded. You can listen to it here.
It's called 'Ocean's too Wide' and it's... oh Christ! I've just listened to it, and he's only gone and done it again - just when you thought you knew where Antichrisis were going next, it's a ridonculous dizzy synth pop song with a uilelean pipe solo. Wow - it's not on the album though, which I confess to being slightly releieved by, so whether this actually counts as album news is debatable.
Also, I'm not sure if the version of 'Stone Rain' on that page is as good as the (presumably) earlier version that leaked onto Soulseek. The new backing vocals seem a bit excessive.
Well, time will tell. I trust Sid - this album, if it ever surfaces, will be a timeless classic, like 'A Legacy of Love' (marks one and two) and even 'Perfume', which I only really got just the other month, after having owned and listened to it for a good few years.
