‘Rest & Be Thankful’ is the fourth album by Scottish four-piece Stapleton. I’m not familiar with their previous output and judging by this collection, I’m not likely to start digging.
Nothing on this rather short 11 song collection came to close to rousing the blood or soothing my soul. Each stripped down track was barely distinguishable from the one before or after. It was effortlessly pleasant, never really engaging. Maybe there’s more underneath, maybe it’s a grower, but it certainly not a grabber.
