Winchester's Blissfields Festival is off. This statement should clarify things:

"Due to lower than expected ticket sales, we have made the decision to call off Blissfields Festival this year."

Full refunds are promised and the organisers vow they'll be back again. The cynic in me wants to say "That's what you get if your headline act is The F***ing Whip", and the cynic in me just won the battle of wills.

I'm sorry, but the festival market's flooded (as with music in general), and apart from the ubiquitous likes of Lethal Bizzle, Rosie Oddie, Johnny Flynn and Carter USM alumni, there wasn't a whole lot to look forward to as far as I can see...
