Playlouder - Music is the Network

For those of you who like your METAL heavy but not extreme, political but utterly daft, here is hot new band from Russia, AnJ, with the song 'Gorbachov'.

Witness the crunching bass sound and endearingly gritty Russian accent and collapse into rowdy, all-singing, all-dancing folk craziness. Is this an honest to goodness return to the (not exactly departed) realms of joyous heavy metal, albeit with an eccentric modern twist? Is this the work of another Eastern megalomaniac with eyes on the world wide pop charts, like t.A.T.u. and Lordi before him? Is this in any way for real? What does being 'for real' even mean anymore? If pop music is by definition post-modern, then what the hell does that make this?

Who cares? It's fun. Watch Gorbachov (as in, Mikhail Gorbachev) arrive, musclebound and armed with generically-fantastical-looking implements "With the only dream, to let his country rise", to save the buxom russian maidens from terrorising militaristic zombies, all so that a cathartic rain of Happy Shopper produce can usher in a new era of... erm... girls doing sexy dancing and miming fellatio with junk food.

My brain hurts.
