Rough Trade shops have announced details of their annual 'Counter Culture' compilation that collects together their favourite tracks of the year gone by. Rough Trade shops have been releasing plenty of compilations recently , but 'Counter Culture' is, as ever, the pick of the crop, with tracks from PlayLouder favourites like Lily Allen, Burial, Bricolage, Broken Social Scene, Pre, CSS, Scritti Politti, Gossip, Wolf Eyes and Disco Students.
The shoppe say, "2006 was a frightenly diverse year for music, and while it may be confusing for those who liked it when it was just skins, punks and greasers, well, they will just have to try and keep up keeping up."
At the same time as the new 'Counter Culture' Rough Trade will be releasing another comp that looks back at the year the shop opened - Aswad is on it!
