Ace hip-hop producers The Neptunes, responsible for career defining moments by Kelis, ODB, Noreaga and tons more, have been working with Britney Spears.
"Yeah, we workin' with Britney!" an obviously delighted Pharrell Williams told Sonicnet. "It's cool, man. It's music. We don't wanna let the cat out of the bag, but it's exciting."
"It's electric pop," said Williams partner in noise, Chad Hugo. "Like how pop was back in the day, with a Neptunes twist."
The pair are also working on Kelis' second album, which they describe as "retro-pop".
"It's going to be retro-pop," said Williams. "Year 3000, but retro. That doesn't make sense, but that's how we are."
Other Neptunes projects currently awaiting release include tracks with Garbage, Usher, and of course, their own N*E*R*D project. The debut LP, 'In Search Of' comes out through Virgin on August 6th.
