Yeah, pretty spot on. Listened to it twice, shrugged, and consigned it to the dustbin of history.
Hope the album's more inspiring
Considering that they have spent the previous year being heralded as the second coming, whilst showing signs of fairly legitamite individuality, it would seem that this track is a very diluted version of their previous outputs and therefore a bit of a disappointment. Hardly suprising then, that this is the one that has been receiving the most airplay and press. It would be a shame to find out that the schtick has worn thin before it really takes off and that it was just a psuedo intellectual marketing device all along. Should literacy and eloquence be confused with the appearance of intellectualism in music? I'm left a bit perplexed by the underlying accessability of this particular track and I don't think I'll be listening to it again anytime soon.
No indeed. I thought the issue would be stretching the thing for a whole career, but it may be more stretching it for half an album. For an act that relies so heavily on words I just expect better ones. Didn't realise this one was receiving airplay!? I remember my interest wasx first piqued watching the video (minus sound) to 'Thou Shalt lways kill'
...in a dodgy sports bar in Southwark... wait... I'll probably need this cripplingly-tedious non-anecdote for the album review...
It will indeed be a difficult thing to draw this out. The scary thing is, that once enough semi-illiterate,half-breed journo's start slobbering over it's literary merits, it will simply become the musical equivolent of a Banksy picture. To quote Charlie Brooker for a second, Banksy has become so popular "Because his work seem's really clever to idiot's". We could be entering similar territory here. This track is indeed getting a lot of airplay at the moment and again, it's the almost instant switch to general accessability whilst maintaining an air of "Check out my lexicon - bitch" that makes it so unsettling. So, is it the fact that compared to solo album, "No Commercial Breaks" An interesting Standard Jazz / Spoken Word debut, or the previous singles which have, lets be honest, pretty gosh darn good, that this is a bad sign for the future of lsvsp. Is it that we once held hope for such a once promising act, and in that, it is our own disappointment that draws such a reaction as they are appearing to go down a very undesirable path towards Kate Nash collaborations and Jack Penate remixes? The album's out on Monday. Let's see how it goes. Oh, yes, they are playing here tonight, but you have to know the promoter and text him for tickets which he might keep for you as he's not putting them on general sale. Needless to say, I'll be finding something else to do later.

yeah, well I can't review the album cos it's too copy protected and I listen to music through computers. Oh well! Hopefully somebody else wants to. You fancy it? Could pop it in the post...
I will get to that straight away. Will give me a reason to get a post up. Although the revelation of that newly released Jimi Hendrix sex tape also warrants mentioning! Ha!

Yup, Vivid entertainment are releasing a recently uncovered 8mm film of what appears to be Jimi Hendrix having a jolly good time with two carefree hippies.
They have called in vintage rocker's penis expert Cynthia Plaster Caster to confirm the member in question.
! hmmm. I ask myself: do I want to see this tape? I answer: no, definitely not.

No, I don't really want to watch that either, but it's most certainly a revelation! Who knows what else will appear in the wake of this, one of Jim Morrisson's naked lsd and pie parties perhaps? I emailed you some links to the story.
thanks!

That may not be entirely safe for work - depending, of course, on where you work.
