you know with all the hype from alan mcgee i expected to be somewhat disappointed by this. but to be fair, i saw them on "later..", and it was fantastic. certainly amongst the rest of the shit they had on.
however, theres no denying, its a lot close to Jesus and Marychain than Oasis - which is a very good thing of course.
heh - true, but I dunno I hold each in about equal regard, if I'm allowed to discount a good 5 oasis albums
y good I mean bad obviously
dont get me wrong, i am partial to the early oasis stuff. but this is pure j&mc. the fuzzy feedback layers, the stood up "couldn't care less" drumming, and sunshine harmonies. doubt the whole album will be a patch on this one track though. or is sven in a position to say it is ?
I wish.
Nobody tells me anything.
however, I personally love Geraldine, Daddy's Gone AND IT's My Own Cheating Heart... - so that's 3 greatsingles in a row from where I'm sitting...

only heard the one track.
but i am genuinely chuffed that a band like this are getting some love. makes a nice change from the usual lazy major label funded indie (hello Mum Ra/Tiny Dancers)
Never heard Mumra. Maybe I was out the country or something? I only found out about them like last week.
Never mind, eh?
Yeah - it's sort of great seeing an almost cheesy, nice expensive video for a song I actually like. A lot.
"Never heard Mumra. Maybe I was out the country or something? I only found out about them like last week." ie when you picked up the album for £1 in Fopp.
see i could have formatted that a lot nicer with the multiple line editor. oh the memories.
memories? What are those? I live only in the NOW. And it's sunny, but my floor is a mess :-/

whenever i think of mum ra i think of those really stodgy local pages in the fly where they and guilt you into liking terrible bands
*they guilt
