Playlouder - Music is the Network

Sounds like something that amused me earlier this week. The Times posted a review of one of the mbv roundhouse gigs only giving it 3/5 stars, laying the blame at the feet of THAT you made me realise workout. Personally I though it was a stunning gig that i am lost for words to describe (the mbv one) and managed to wangle some tickets for one of the manchester gigs this weekend. Not the biggest fan myself but I think its going to be a while before The Times become an erstwhile authority on live music.

Also in weirder news, i perched myself up against one of the rails by the mixing desk and Patti Smith of all people sat down next to me. She gave a pretty mighty salute at the end of you made me realise, bless.

i did have prior warnings from friends to get the available earplugs. MBV were infamous for doing the you made me realise bit anyhow, one of my dads friends went to see them in 91 and said it actually made alot of people feel physically ill. i think in the years since their departure and subseqent surge of interest, a lot of people forgot or didnt realise that they were always meant to be experienced live on a very visceral level.

also alex, greatly enjoyed the those dancing days vid you posted. managed to avoid them up and till now but i can see (quite deservedly so) why they are going to be massive. the lead singer is so adorable that i keep having to go back to it!

Agreement on all fronts. Was that content or not? If not I should prboably make it so for the hell of it (unless anyone else wants to).
